Steve Jobs Movie Gets Another Run With Leonardo DiCaprio And ‘The Beach’ Director Danny Boyle? Iconic Apple Co-Founder’s Film To Finally Give ‘Titanic’ Actor The Oscar?

Steve Jobs movie is getting another run as "The Beach" director Danny Boyle is currently talking with Sony Pictures to be at the helm of the iconic Apple co-founder's film. Leonardo DiCaprio's name has also been dropped to be on the running for the lead role, which will hopefully give the "Titanic" actor the much coveted Oscar trophy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Danny Boyle was approached to take over the film after the initial talks with David Fincher failed.

It was earlier reported that the Steve Jobs movie would no longer be under the eye of Fincher after he allegedly made a demand of $10 million upfront fees. He also required creative and marketing control of the film.

Fincher is best known for his directorial jobs with "Fight Club" and "The Social Network." The latter film was penned by Aaron Sorkin, who is also set to write the upcoming Steve Jobs movie that might star Leonardo DiCaprio.

Leonardo DiCaprio has been a coveted actor by Sony Pictures to play Steve Jobs but there is no confirmation yet whether the highly regarded actor is also interested with the role, The Wrap reported.

Portraying the dramatic life of the Apple co-founder may finally ink an Oscar trophy for Leonardo DiCaprio yet it's unclear whether his busy schedule would allow him to take part in the movie.

The "Titanic" actor will begin filming Alejandaro Gonzalez Inarritu's "The Reverant" by fall this year, said a report by Deadline Hollywood.

The new Steve Jobs movie will be based on the best-selling biography written by Walter Isaacson with the authority from the Apple co-founder himself. Scott Rudin will be producing the film along with Film 360's Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady.

In 2013, Ashton Kutcher starred in a Steve Jobs movie entitled "Jobs," which received lack luster reviews from movie critics.
