High4 Sweeps 6 Music Charts With IU's Support
Rookie group High4 took the music chart throne with "Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms", thanks to the help of IU.
Sixteen days after its release, the song is currently ranked #1 in six music charts: Melon, Mnet.com, Olleh Music, Genie, Naver Music, and Daum Music.
"Not Love, Spring, or Cherry Blossoms" finally beat Akdong Musician's "200%" after ranking second and third after its April 8th release.
It is unprecedented for a rookie group to hold its place on top tiers for such an extended period of time with a debut song; IU's support in lyric-writing, featuring, and music video appearance is said to have a significant effect in the song's success.
High4's debut song "Not Love, Spring, or Cherry Blossoms" starts with an acoustic guitar sound and features a funky groove sound with real instruments. The song carries the fresh beginning of Spring, and the harmony created by IU and High4 simply captures all ears.
Park Hyo Shin's "Wild Flower", A-PINK's "Mr.Chu", and Yoon Min Soo-Shin Yong Je's "Fate" also listed themselves on the top tiers of charts.
