Sangchu Discharged from the Hospital and Back to Military Service

Mighty Mouth's Sangchu, who was previously swept in the scandal regarding entertainment soldiers, was discharged from the hospital and sent back to his army base.

On April 23, sources stated that Sangchu was discharged from the Army hospital in Chuncheon, returning to his base soon after.

Sources claimed: "Corporal Lee Sang Chul has returned to his base and has resumed his training".

Sangchu had previously received a ranking of 4 after physical examination, placing him on reservist duty, but had applied for active service again, receiving a 3 after a year of rehabilitation.

However, news of his six-month stay in the hospital had aroused suspicions, to which the Ministry of National Defense responded with denial: "The treatment services received by Corporal Lee Sang Chul is done through lawful and appropriate steps".

According to the Ministry of National Defense, Sangchu had complained of shoulder and ankle pain; he had been treated after two joint surgeries, one last October and another this January.

The Ministry of National Defense stated: "Since both surgeries were big procedures, Sangchu needed time to recover, and had been receiving physical therapy in the hospital. He was to be discharged last month but due to scheduling conflicts with the army base, had been allowed to return in the beginning of April".

Sangchu's agency also explained that Sangchu's surgeries were just and with cause: "The doctor recommended that Sangchu file for withdrawal from the army, but Sangchu was determined to serve his full time in the army".

Sangchu had previously received criticism for his involvement in massage rooms during the celebrity soldiers' investigation. The Defense Media Agency had explained that Se7en and Sangchu had entered the massage rooms due to medical treatment reasons.

Meanwhile, Sangchu will be discharged from the army in August.
