Chinese Version Of KBS 'Superman Returns' Gains Much Popularity In China

The Chinese version of "Superman Returns" has gained a significant amount of popularity after its first episode aired on April 24.

Right after the show debuted, it ranked number 1 on China's Weibo and showed a great amount of interest from people.

The chinese version of the show includes many different Chinese stars, athletes, actors and idol group members.

This show is about dads who take care of their kids for 48 hours without their moms.

This isn't the first time a Korean reality television show was made into a program in China.

Korea Times reports that another Korean program, "Where Are We Going Dad?," was also successfully made in China, and even went on to win the top prize in the television entertainment program division at the Houston International Films Awards.

Korean reality programs are enjoyed by its audience, primarily because they showcase specific traditions that are lacking in Korean society today.

Both "Where Are We Going Dad?" and "Superman Returns" portrays relationships between fathers and their children, and how necessary it is to consistently build that relationship even while juggling a busy career on the side.

A program titled "Share House," which aired on April 16, has also been getting a lot of media attention in Korea.

The show portrays the increasing number of single households in Korea.

It has been reported that an estimated 4.53 million of the Korean population are single households in Korea.

It used to be customary in traditional Korean households, as seen in many Korean dramas, where two to three generations live together.

It has been noted that as the single household culture grows in Korea, many families only get together for meals, minimizing contact as a whole family.

"Share House" reportedly brought in nine cast members and put them in a house where they create a "family" environment so viewers can experience what it's like to live in a place where family members actually interact with one another.

Maybe we'll be able to see a Chinese version of "Share House" in the future as well.
