‘Little Rain’ Lee Joon Becoming A Seasoned Actor

Lee Joon is proving himself to be a fantastic actor in the tvN drama "Gap Dong."

In tvN's weekend drama "Gap Dong," Lee Joon plays Ryu Tae Oh, a sociopath who "takes the baton" from serial killer Gap Dong and becomes a serial killer himself.

Lee Joon has been more than excellent in the first four episodes, showing a range of different personalities through his character from a man with boyish charms to a devilish murderer.

Even in the presence of acting greats Sung Dong Il and Yoon Sang Hyun, Lee Joon managed to take the spotlight as an actor.

In fact, many K-Drama professionals are hesitating from calling him a "yeon gi dol (a mash up of two words, "idol" and "yeon gi ja (actor)" because he is a far better actor than most idol actors.

His acting debut was in 2009. As a member of MBLAQ under Rain's label, he was cast to play the younger version of Rain in the Hollywood film "Ninja Assassin".

This is why the title "Little Rain" always followed Lee Joon around. Like Rain, Lee Joon tried to excel in both acting and performing on stage with MBLAQ.

Many people considered Lee Joon's acting career just a quick deviation from his idol career, but Lee Joon is proving them wrong. He is now shining as an up-and-coming actor.

Lee Joon stated, "While the character of Ryu Tae Oh may change my image drastically, I loved the challenge of playing such a perplex character." He is now reaping the benefits of the challenge.

There is only 16 more episodes of "Gap Dong" left. What else can he show the viewers? Tune in to see for yourself the acting capacity of Lee Joon.
