High4 And IU's 'Not Spring, Love Or Cherry Blossoms' Jumps To Number 1 On Billboard K-Pop Hot 100

Call it the cherry blossom effect.

Two years after Busker Busker released their chart-topping hit "Cherry Blossom Ending," which saw a commercial resurgence the following year during cherry season, singer IU's collaboration with the boy band HIGH4, "Not Spring, Love Or Cherry Blossoms," jumped into the number one spot on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 this week.

IU both wrote and co-produced the song, which appears to be locked in an all out battle for Billboard K-pop chart supremacy with Akdong Musician's first single for YG Entertainment, "200%."

The first two spots on the Billboard K-pop chart are a mirror image of last week, when Akdong musician held the number one spot and "Not Spring, Love Or Cherry Blossoms" was at number two.

Coming in at number three this week is Veteran performer Lee Sun Hee with new her single "Meet Him Among Them."

The song, which is the first single off of Lee Sun Hee's 15th album "Serendipity," was released on March 25.

And falling one place to number four on the Billboard K-pop chart is Akdong Musician's fellow "K-Pop Star" reality show winners, 15&.

Comprised of two sixteen-year-old girls, Park Jimin and Baek Yerin, 15&'s single "I Can't Hide It," topped eight Korean pop charts when it was released last month, including Olleh, Genie, Mnet, Bugs, Soribada, Naver Music, Daum Music and Monkey3.

And showing major resilience is the Billboard K-pop top five this week is girl group A Pink's single "Mr. Chu."

The single has had a jumpy first few weeks on the Billboard chart, debuting at number 25 jumping to number two, before landing at number five and then sliding up to number four, last week.

"Mr. Chu" is currently at number five.
