EXO To Release Mini Album 'Overdose' Worldwide On May 7

Group EXO will be releasing their second mini album, Overdose, on May 7.

Along with the release of their new album, they will also be releasing this mini album simultaneously in both Korea and China.

EXO is expecting an overwhelming response from their fans from all over the world.

They will also release the music video on their SMTOWN YouTube channel and showcase EXO's new change and performance.

Their new title song, "Overdose," features a hip hop and R&B sound dance song. They first performed their new song at their 'EXO Comeback Show' and received great responses from fans.

EXO had originally planned to release their album earlier, but made the decision to delay the date due to the Sewol ferry incident.

Despite the delay of the release, the 12-member group still did a showcase on April 15 for fans in Seoul, performing the tracks from "Overdose," including the title track of the same name, according to Korea Times.

"Overdose" has the potential to expand in the states as well because a renown U.S. production team produced the single.

According to Billboard.com, Harvey Mason and Damon Thomas of the U.S. production team the Underdogs helped the boy band with their single, "Overdose."

Mason and Thomas produced the major hit "Mr.Mr." by Girls' Generation, which made it to this year's most-watched K-Pop video to date.

"The track is very exciting, it's got a lot of energy. It's got some R&B elements, but it's still got a great melody and a big pop hook. It has elements of contemporary radio and it's kinda similiar to what's going on over here." says Mason.

He added, "For us, it's a perfect combination of a lot of different styles of music. It gives them an opportunity to do what they do -- which is create videos, choreography, sing and there's a little bit of rap."
