John Mayer Donates Proceeds of Korean Concert to Sewol Victims

John Mayer announced that he would donate the part of the proceeds of his Korean concert to the victim and families of the Sewol incident.

John Mayer entered the stage of his Seoul concert, held on the 6th, wearing a yellow ribbon.

Before the performance, he greeted Korean fans, stating: "I will donate the profits made from my concert-related sales (albums, shirts, etc)".

Receiving a hearty applause, John Mayer continued: "I'm deeply sorry for such a tragedy that struck the nation. I'm so grateful that all of you could attend my concert despite the sadness. I'm praying for the victims. I will sing every song for them".

After his concert, he posted a picture on Instagram with the words: "Thank you Seoul for a very special night. I wish you lots of peace and healing. Thanks for allowing myself/band/crew to play for you amidst such a heavy and painful time in your country. You've embraced me with open arms and I'll never forget it. Love ya."

Meanwhile, John Mayer debuted in 2001 and scored 20,000,000 in album sales, receiving seven Grammy Awards for his musical skill and popularity.
