The Incredibles 2' Release Date In 2017? Pixar Shares Some Surprising Facts About The Animated Super Family!

"The Incredibles 2" is probably the most anticipated sequel in the Pixar Studios. While Pixar is known to be very meticulous with its movies, there are already some rumors that Disney wants the release date sooner than later.

Pixar is scheduled to release "Inside Out" next on June 19, 2015. It will be followed by "The Good Dinosaur" which was supposed to be released in 2014 but was moved following a directorial change. It is now on November 25, 2015. The final scheduled movie is the sequel to "Finding Nemo," "Finding Dory" on June 17, 2016.

Apparently, Disney wants the Incredibles sequel to follow that, which would mark the second time Pixar would release back-to-back sequels (Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 in 2010-11).

Meanwhile, here are some facts about The Incredibles, who are now the most popular super hero family in the movies. That used to belong to The Fantastic Four.

Speaking of Fantastic Four, they are a major inspiration for The Incredibles.

From Gizmopod: "..there's an obvious nod to The Fantastic Four. Many traits follow the same patterns as Marvel's well-known supersquad. Mr. Incredible and The Thing have superhuman strength, Elastigirl and Mr. Fantastic can stretch their bodies, Violet and the Invisible Woman can go invisible and create forcefields, and baby Jack-Jack and the Human Torch can light themselves on fire. Dash's super speed is the only difference."

Another fact is how the first movie dislodges the infamous Pixar Theory: "'The Incredibles' is the only Pixar movie that doesn't feature the infamous truck from Toy Story. The truck does appear in the original Incredibles video game, though."

Also an interesting tidbit is that director Brad Bird was the voice of costume designer Edna Mode! The backstory: "For animation testing, director Brad Bird recorded his own voice as costumer designer Edna Mode. After auditioning many talents, none were as good as Bird's and they stuck with the director."

Edna Mode's popularity spread all the way to the Oscars! She presented the award for..well..Best Costume Design and was digitally animated conversing with co-presentor Pierce Brosnan in 2005.
