Teri Polo Bankruptcy Update: Teri Polo, the actress who co-starred in the trilogy of "Meet the Parents" and "Meet the Fockers" movies with Robert De Niro, Barbara Streisand and Ben Stiller, filed for bankruptcy. It seems Teri Polo is out of money.

Teri Polo played Stiller‘s wife. She currently plays Stef on the TV series "The Fosters."

According to TMZ Teri Polo filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy because the 44-year-old actress owes the IRS $772,000 in back taxes. Polo also owes just below $36K in credit card debt. Together, Teri Polo owes almost a million dollars.

In official documents scrutinized by TMZ, it comes out that Teri Polo owes about $772,000 to the IRS and approximately $36,000 to credit card companies.
In her bankruptcy filing, Polo, who lives in Manhattan Beach, California, claims that she hsd less than $50,000 in assets and liabilities approaching $1 million. She owes nearly $745,000 to the IRS, just over $27,000 to the California Franchise Tax Board, nearly $30,000 to American Express, and nearly $7,000 to Chase.
Teri Polo might not be the girl you'd want to bring home to Meet the Parents. Teri comes with a price tag and might have some questionable cleanliness habits, according to TMZ.

Polo, who can be seen now in the ABC Family original series The Fosters, is also being sued by her former landlord the celebrity lawyer, Ed McPherson, for $30,000. McPherson claims Polo allegedly moved out of a rental apartment in Los Angeles but left the carpets ruined with dog feces and urine. MacPherson also alleges that Teri left food rot in the fridge.

Polo was paying $7,000 per month rent.

Teri Polo is best known as Ben Stiller's fiancee and ultimate wife, in the "Meet the Parents" movie trilogy. Polo had a recurring role on "The West Wing" from 2005 to 2006. Polo has also appeared on such shows as "Castle," "Criminal Minds," and "Law & Order: LA." Polo once posed nude for Playboy Magazine. The currently plays the lead on ABC Family's hit show, The Fosters.
