Singer Wheesung released his teaser image online for his new album.

YMC Entertainment revealed a photo for the singer's new mini album via Twitter on May 8.

The album is set to be released on May 12. The album will consist of 7 track total, according to hellokpop. 

The teaser photo revealed Wheesung with his hands together and head down, showcasing the singer's well-known charismatic and manly side. 

This teaser photo was for his title song, "Night and Day," which is composed by Kim Do Hoon. 

This is his first comeback since he left for the army in 2011, making it 2 years and 7 months since he's released a new album. 

His ageny gave further details of the album release as well as Wheesung's future plans following the new tracks, telling Star News on May 2, "Wheesung will release his new mini-album 'The Best Man' online on the 12th at noon KST ... Wheesung is planning to perform on broadcasts with his new song." 

The singer was reportedly involved in various aspects of the production of his upcoming project, including composing, writing and producing for the entire album, according to Allkpop.

Depsite it's release on the 12th, "The Best Man" will be available in stores on the 14th. 

Wheesung has been highly recognized as a singer in South Korea, winning multiple awards since his debut as a solo artist back in 2002. 

For those who don't know, Wheesung first debuted as a singer as part of the Korean boy band A4, according to his wikipedia page. 

Some of the artist's many accolades include the Best Solo Male Artist Award at the M.net KM Music Festival, Best R&B Artist at the 17th Korea Entertainment Arts Awards and the BBF Popular Singer Award at the 2011 Asia Model Awards. 

Wheesung had fans quite worried when news circulated that he had to receive temporary leave from the army to receive surgery for his herniated disc back in 2012. 

The singer had received a 9 night, 10 days temporary leave for his herniated disc along with treatment for other medical issues including both shoulders being dislocated, psoriasis and sudden balding, according to MWave. 

Despite his health problems, Wheesung finished the remainder of his service and now has fans waiting with anticipation for his upcoming album.
