Hugh Jackman’s Cancer Scare Not Slowing Down The ‘X-Men’ Star! Wolverine Goes To Broadway For ‘The River’

Hugh Jackman's cancer scare is not slowing him down as the "Wolvernine" star is hitting up Broadway for "The River."

Hugh Jackman's cancer scare was realized when on Thursday, biopsy revealed that he had basel cell carcinoma for the second time. He immediately had the growth excised from his nose on Friday.

After the procedure, he posted on Instagram a photo of his band-aided nose as well as a reminder: "Another Basel Cell Carsinoma. All out now. Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian. PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!"

But Hugh Jackman's cancer scare appears to be over as he told Associated Press, "It's all out now."

Hugh Jackman's "Wolverine" might be near indestructible, but the Sydney native has been diagnosed with basel cell carcinoma for the second time after a cancerous growth in the same area in November last year.

The Skin Cancer Foundation, per HuffingtonPost, said that basel cell carcinoma can cause disfigurement if not treated early.

Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman told Associated Press that he's going back to Broadway to headline the Jez Betterworth play, "The River," which tells the story of a trout fisherman who has to deal with two women in his life in a remote cabin. The play was first seen two years ago in London.

"I'm really looking forward to treading the boards here on Broadway," he said.

After Hugh Jackman's "Wolverine," the Aussie hunk is not afraid to stretch his boundaries. This would be the fourth for the "Real Steel" actor after "A Steady Rain" in 2009 and a one-man show in 2011. He also starred in "The Boy from Oz" in 2003 where he won a Tony, NY Daily News said.

People will get to see Hugh Jackman's "Wolverine" post-career as a Broadway star on "The River" which will open on November 16 at the Circle in the Square theatre.
