JYJ Junsu Successfully Finishes First Day Of Japan Tour In Tokyo

JYJ member Junsu kicked off his Japan tour in Tokyo.

His concert, which was held at the Yogogi National Stadium, officially kicked off his "XIA The Best Ballad Spring Tour Concert."

He showcased a variety of different performances at this concert from musical pieces to ballads as well as TVXQ Japanese single songs, including "Begin," "Proud," "Asu wa Kuru Kara," according to Allkpop. 

He also communicated with his fans during the talk session, where he was requested to sing "Let It Go." Junsu gladly obliged and even went on to sing various other hits for the crowd. 

After finishing his concerts in Tokyo, he will move on to Osaka to perform on May 22-24.

Junsu has successfully maintained his popularity and music career since his solo debut back in 2010. 

He started out with the release of his Japanese single "Xiah," which reportedley ranked No. 2 on Japan's Oricon singles chart. 

After "Xiah," Junsu's solo career was temporarily put on hiatus due to a disagreement with his Japanese label Avex Trax. However, the singer returned in May 2010 with his first full-length Korean solo studio album "Tarantallegra" under his new management agency C-JeS Entertainment. 

His second solo studio album in Korea titled "Incredible" was released in July 2013, gaining intense popularity. 

As Junsu continues his tour, the singer's fans will be relieved to know that his next career move has already been decided. 

Junsu, also known by his stage name Xia, has been cast for the lead role in the musical "Dracula."

"Junsu recevied the casting offer for 'Dracula' and has decided to star in it. We plan to finalize the terms and conditions soon," stated C-JeS Entertainment. 

This is Korea's first musical remake of "Dracula." Junsu will be portraying Count Dracula, who loves one woman for a thousand years, carrying the pain of his unrequited love. 

"Dracula" is set to open at Seoul Arts Center's Opera Theater this July. 

This isn't the first time Junsu has starred in a musical production. He took on the role of Wolfgang in his debut musical "Mozart!," receiving critical acclaim for his portrayal of the character.
