Singer Ailee To Release Duet Song With U.S. Pop Star Eric Benet

Singer Ailee and U.S. singer Eric Benet have worked together to release a duet that came out today, May 16. 

The remake of the 1984 classic "Almost Paradise," which was the theme song for "Footloose" was featured on Eric Benet's recent Japanese album titled "From E to U: Volume 1 Album One."

The album, which is an electropop version of his 2012 album "The One," will be released on May 28, according to Singers Room. 

Ailee and Eric met back in April to record the duet together, which was also released as a single in Korea. 

Warner Music Japan revealed that singer-songerwriter Eric Benet had requested to do a duet with Ailee, which she gladly accepted.

Ailee's music career is skyrocketing as of late. 

The 24-year-old newcomer also released a ballad for the drama "Triangle" titled "Haru Haru," according to Yahoo Entertainment Singapore. 

The OST track for the MBC drama was released on May 13. 

"Haru Haru" showcases Ailee's powerful vocals and embodies the three brothers' love and pain in the drama. 

Ailee officially debuted back in 2012 with her song "Heaven," winning the Song of the Month and Rookie of the Month Award, just one month after her debut, according to Allkpop. 

Before her debut, she was signed to Muzo Entertainment, an independent agency based out of New York and New Jersey, where she grew up. 

Ailee performed with Jay Park, Art of Movement, Johnnyphlo, Decipher and Clara C at "projectKorea III" at Rutgers University back in 2010. 

She officially made a name for herself when she peformed with Wheesung on MBC's "Singer and Trainee" where she performed Beyonce's "Halo," immediately receiving praise from the judges. 

"Wherever she goes, she has the potential to be a big star. She definitely has the voice," stated judge and singer BMK, according to Soompi.
