Maddie Ziegler's "Chandelier" video stretched the talent of the "Dance Mom's" star because of the demands of the performance. Meanwhile, the 11-year-old recreated the famous video on "Ellen" with singer Sia.

In an interview with Stylecaster, Maddie Ziegler weighed in on starring in Sia's "Chandelier" video: "The dancing was so different from what people know me as. I'm glad that Sia and Ryan stretched me so much with my dancing," she said.

Maddie Ziegler also said that singer-songwriter reached out to her via Twitter asking her if she wants to star in Sia's "Chandelier" video. "I was so excited because she is such an amazing artist. I couldn't believe she picked me!"

Sia's "Chandelier" was released back in March but only when the music video with "Dance Moms" Maddie Ziegler performing was released on YouTube that people caught on with the track, Kristie Rohwedder wrote for the bustle.com.

The music video, showing 11-year-old Maddie Ziegler in nude leotard dancing and writhing around an abandoned apartment, received more than one million hits in just 24 hours, MailOnline reported. It was directed by Sia with Daniel Askill lending his skills as a photographer and short film director.

"Dance Moms" Maddie Ziegler's performance in Sia's "Chandelier" video was done in almost continuous shot.

"The dancing is remarkable but so is the sensation the girl gives of just barely being in control as her feelings begin to overwhelm her to where she is, literally, at times crawling up the walls," Melinda Newman wrote for hitflix.com. "It's haunting and eerie and compelling."

Meanwhile, Maddie Ziegler of "Dance Moms" recreated Sia's "Chandelier" video on "Ellen" along with the shy singer.

In the video, Ellen Degeneres introduces Sia: "when she performs, she chooses not to face the camera but believe me, this is her singing live for a very rare performance."

According to stereogum, "Sia stood at the rear of the stage with her back to the audience (her album is called 1000 Forms Of Fear, after all), which maybe goes to show she's not ready to step out from behind the curtain? Her voice suggests otherwise, of course."
