First Asian Music Festival In NYC Kicks Off Tonight With Verbal Jint and Bumkey

Tonight (May 22) marks the first annual Asian Music Festival in New York City. Verbal Jint and Bumkey will be there to kick things off.

For the first installment of the AMF, the organizers, the SIVA Group, are paying tribute to Korea's rich a varied hip-hop music scene.

With headliners Verbal Jint and Bumkey ready to take the stage at BB King's Blues Club in Times Square this evening, New York City can expect to hear something different.

The Asian Music Festival will take place over two nights.

Thursday features a concert with additional appearances by rappers Kanto and Decipher. Doors open at 7pm and it is an 18+ show.

An after party will be held at Husdon Terrace located just a couple of blocks away from the venue on West 46th Street and will have music from Michelle Francheska, DJ Preston, Gank Squad, and Paul Trizz. The after party is restricted to only those over the age of 21.

Friday night moves to Stage 48 (605 W. 48th St.) in Hell's Kitchen for live DJ sets from Walshy Fire of Major Lazer and DJ Vixx. The event is 21+.
