EXO's First Solo Concert In Seoul Was Successful; Members State They Will Not Disband

With all the news regarding Kris and his lawsuit to SM Entertainment, the guys went on and did their first solo concert without him. The guys proved that they are great; even if they are an eleven member male group. EXO did their first solo concert which was on May 23 - 25, 2014. The venue was Seoul Olympic Park; which thousands of fans attended their three day concerts. Before their concert, the guys did a lot of preparations and practiced a lot at the dance studio. The guys wanted to make the three day concert events special and extravagant. Also, they wanted to thank their fans for all the love and support they have been giving them.

Days before the concert on May 23rd, EXO worked with famous choreographer Tony Testa as he is known for working with SHINee and TVXQ in the past, EXO contacted the right person to give them tips and ideas on how to make their choreography better.

Their First Solo Concert

EXO's first solo concert was a success because a total of 42,000 fans attended to see them rock the stage. All the tickets were sold out within minutes when announcement about the guys having their first solo concert in South Korea was released. EXO truly has a great fan base who are loyal and dedicated. No surprise on why tickets were sold out quickly. Each of their concerts were two hours long and they performed thirty-one songs for their fans; which were both a combination of group and solo performances.

After their concert last Sunday, the guys attended a press conference; which Suho explained what the concept was for their show. Suho said, "The basic concept of this particular show is about us as beings from another planet, EXO planet. (We) wanted to create this atmosphere of something that you would not be able to experience on this planet."

Also during the press conference, Suho teared up because the issue regarding Kris' departure came up. Also, about how the guys felt performing without Kris? Suho said, "This concert series fell around my birthday, so to be able to spend this time with the fans and the rest of the members of EXO, it did bring some tears (to my eyes)." He further said, "But it wasn’t just that. Lately, I have been thinking about what happiness is, and I thought to myself, isn’t true happiness being able to be here with my fellow EXO members and our fans?"

With all the issue on Kris, the guys told the media that no matter what news occurs in the future, EXO will never leave. EXO is here to stay and will keep performing with high energy for their devoted and dedicated fans. Lay said, "We were all very shocked by the news." He further went on, "It happened so suddenly and one week before our show, so we were all very flustered and heartbroken, but we will overcome this together. ... I was very sad that the fans were subjected to all these rumors and misunderstandings. I hope in the future we don’t have to encounter another ordeal like this." After Lay, Baekhyun talked about his feelings; which he said, "Personally I just wanted to say how proud I am of our members. Despite all that has happened, we worked really hard to make sure that we would not have to compromise these concerts."

EXO will fly to Hong Kong and perform two solo concerts for their fans there on June 1st and 2nd.

So EXO fans in Hong Kong, get ready to party with the guys on those two days.
