YG Entertainment's Director Yang Hyun Suk stated that Big Bang's Taeyang will release new second album on June 2 and promote title song "Eyes, Nose, Lips".

On May 29, Yang announced: "The new full album is released 4 years after Taeyang's last album, SOLAR. The title song 'Eyes, Nose, Lips' is produced by YG's main producer Teddy and Dee.P. It was difficult to pick one song as the title song because most of the songs in Taeyang's new album were all considered as a candidate for the title song. However, we picked 'Eyes, Nose, Mouth' and will focus on promotion of the song."

It is rare for YG Entertainment to pick just one title song; Yang stated: "When Taeyang sang the first line of the lyrics, I felt a strong sensation that all my previous plans would collapse. I was so excited for Taeyang's comeback, even offering ideas for the music video - I haven't offered ideas for my artists' music videos since Big Mama's 'BREAK AWAY' MV eleven years ago. 'Eyes, Nose, Mouth' is in that way, a very special song for me".

The original title songs for Taeyang's new album were "Body", "Let Go", and "1AM". However, Taeyang wanted to work on the album more, and three songs were added: "STAY WITH ME", "This Ain't It", and "Eyes, Nose, Mouth".

Yang added: "We will release 3 music videos. The title song music video will be released on June 2 with the release of the online album, and the MV for '1AM' will be revealed on June 10 with the release of the offline album. We also decided to produce 'Body' as a music video as well".

He continued: "A total of 9 songs will be on Taeyang's new album. To be truthful, 20 songs were recorded, but Taeyang wanted quality over quantity, so we had to reduce it down to 9. All the songs are title song-quality."
