Group HIGH4 Holds Successful First Japan Solo Concert

K-Pop group HIGH4 successfully finished their "HIGH4 Summer Snow LIVE" solo concert in Japan on May 27 in Tokyo.

This was the group's first solo concert overseas, which is beyond impressive since it has only been 2 months since the boy band's debut.

During their recent 90-minute concert in Japan, which received positive, supportive reactions from fans, HIGH4 sang a total of 12 songs, a handful of which had never been released before.

Although HIGH4 is of the newest of rookie groups that is currently emerging in the K-Pop scene, their talent is being recognized as they've already begun forming an international fan base.

Fans that were able to catch their "Summer Snow" musical last April and May specifically requested this concert. The musical reportedly showcased each member's acting and vocal skills, which officially put HIGH4 on the map.

HIGH4 made their debut with the full support of Korean superstar IU. They were officially the first rookie group to debut and rank high on 10 music charts.

HIGH4 and IU released their song "Not Spring, Love, or Cherry Blossoms" in late March and even went on to rank No. 1 on the canceled broadcast of "Inkigayo" on May 11, according to Allkpop.

The popular Korean music program released their chart for the second week of May on the 13th, revealing HIGH4's impressive achievement.

The rookie group had beat out A Pink's "Mr. Chu," Akdong Musician, who had already won three times with their hit "200%."

For those who aren't familiar with the new group, HIGH4 is a 4-member group that is signed with N.A.P Entertainment, and is composed of two vocalists, Myung-han and leader Kyle, and two rappers, Yong-jun and Alex.

Many believe that HIGH4's debut with their duet with the famous IU may have helped considerably because both the song and the music video was a "good, solid debut that presents the vocal capabilities of the boys," according to Seoulbeats.

HIGH4 is set to prepare for their new album, which will be released this June.
