Big Bang beat the pop star Katy Perry in a weekly Popdust Pop-Off.

In a popularity vote held in the American music website Popdust, Big Bang received total of 2,288,812 votes (52.1%), beating Katy Perry, who received 2,103,200 votes (47.9%). Popdust said, "We shouldn’t see Big Bang merely as an idol group. G-Dragon is a wide-known songwriter, and is just as good at singing. Also, G-Dragon has a very unusual hairstyle,” complimenting them.

Big Bang, after beating Katy Perry, is now aiming for their 2nd crown against Far East Movement. So far, they have received 160,327 votes, gaining 75.7% of the vote and completely dominating the votes.
