‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ Rumors: Wonder Woman Costume Adapted From '300?' Superman Shifts To Brighter, Bolder Colors!

Details for "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice" continue to remain scarce, but we have seen an official glimpse of the Dark Knight's look. Wonder Woman and Superman's new threads have yet to be given a visual, but speculations abound.

For Wonder Woman, it is almost a certainty that she will not wear the skimpy bikini based costume that became iconic in the TV series. It won't be too farfetched to say that more people remember how Wonder Woman looked in the series than recall the plotline of any episode.

Apparently, DC wanted to change that. From Screenrant: .."the publisher is making efforts to get fans focusing on Diana's character, not the amount of skin her costume reveals."

While there is always the need to modernize, Wonder Woman is an Amazon princess and there is a mythology surrounding her. "Diana's backstory must enter into the equation at some point, and as much as fans have already debated the film's likelihood of success, absolutely nothing is known about the origin story David S. Goyer, Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder have crafted for her. Some artistic liberties are to be expected, but if the classical mythology, architecture, and dress of the Amazons are going to be preserved, then it would seem leather and bronze are more likely than space-age fabrics."

The armor used by the Greeks and Macedonians in '300' and its sequel would definitely be an influence not just because it is Zack Snyder's film, but also because it would be applicable.

For Superman, one of the factors that had a divisive effect among the fans is the darkness of the character, and that was represented by the black costume. The edgier Superman was definitely a Snyder innovation and for the most part, it worked.

But they wanted Superman to take a step further from his "Man of Steel" image-a rogue alien who dragged death and destruction with him. He is now closer to being a 'hero' and his new costume should be indicative of that. Screenrant states: "..it's possible Superman could sport a bright, bolder look by the film's conclusion. Strange images of a new Superman suit/mold/statue are already appearing online, so Snyder's plans are clearly still a mystery."
