T-ARA member Jiyeon is making her mark in the music industry since the debut of her solo mini-album "Never Ever."

The title song, "Never Ever," is reportedly gaining popularity outside of Korea as well.

According to Mnet's "M! Countdown," "Never Ever" ranked No. 1 in the States and in China. The single ranked second in Japan and continues to receive the attention of fans.

Jiyeon worked with hit producing team Duble Sidekick for the album, which officially debuted on May 20.

The music video of Jiyeon's "Never Ever" was released on May 28 through Core Contents Media's official YouTube channel. Since its release the video has been getting explosive reactions on China's "Yin Yue Tai," according to Yahoo Entertainment Singapore.

The song has reportedly maintained its position at No. 1 on Yin Yue Tai's music video chart for two weeks after its official release.

Jiyeon is the first members of T-ARA to make a solo debut. Through her solo mini-album, Jiyeon had planned to "show an eye-catching performance and alluring music that is different from T-ARA's music."

Jiyeon has been further showing off her dance and vocal skills through her recent solo debut performances in late May as well.

The new solo singer has recently been chosen to be the MC for SBS MTV "The Show: All About K-Pop." She will be hosting the show while she continues her solo promotions.

Jiyeon will use her experience as a former "Music Core" MC to host "The Show," beginning June 3. The show will air every Tuesday, according to publication Allkpop.

"Although I am still nervous, I will do my best," stated Jiyeon.

Joining Jiyeon as the MC for the show will be Girl's Day's Hyeri and a male model that has yet to be confirmed.

"The new MCs in their early 20s are already showing an amazing fighting spirit as seen by their daily script reading practice. Look forward to the three of them working together as 'The Show' MCs as these unique people display their individualities," stated SBS MTV.
