Summer has officially started for many students in the United States. While warm weather and more free time can be enticing, many people who avidly exercise outdoors escape from their workout routines due to the heat. Fortunately, there has been a recent influx of hot new K-Pop songs from artists such as Taeyang, ZE:A, and B.A.P to help get listeners moving.

The Warm Up

“Rise”, the newest album from Big Bang member Taeyang has two songs that great to listen to while warming up. “1AM” is a mid-tempo pop track which inspires movement, while “Body” is an uptempo electronic song that can provide motivation to become more fit.

ZE:A delivers an important reminder with their track “Breathe”. In addition to stretching and monitoring ones heart rate, it is important to maintain regulated breathing during exercise.

The Work Out

Although, it seems counter intuitive to exercise, the K-Bit Crush of the Baskin Robbins track “Abing Abing” from Orange Caramel inserts sweet girl group vocals into the workout mix.

INFINITE creates dance music that conjures up 1980s leotards and Jazzersize. “Reflex” from their newest album “Season 2” is one of those wonderful songs which evokes the glory of “Flashdance”.

“Going Crazy” is another track from “Season 2” which has made its way onto my workout play list.

For those who enjoy dancing, learning the moves to VIXX “Eternity” may be the key to getting a better summer body.

The Cool Down

My workout play list continues to contain a large amount of music from EXO. “Thunder” makes the list as a nineties throwback track that gets me ready to cool down.

The track “Where Are You? What Are You Doing?” from the unprecedented acoustic album “B.A.P Unplugged 2014” is not only a great song to listen to at the end of a workout, but an excellent way to start of an undoubtedly awesome day.
