Samsung Galaxy F Rumors: Premium Version Of Galaxy S5 Appears In Alleged Image, Gets Brushed Metal Coating

Earlier this year, there were rampant rumors about a premium Samsung Galaxy F smartphone that would sport a metal chassis, a first in Samsung's flagship models.

However, a Samsung exec several months ago insisted that no such smartphone exists.

Still, a few months after the Galaxy S5 was launched, reports of a premium version surfaced, and the smartphone is said to hit the Korean market this month. In fact, in a previous report, the Android powered handset dubbed as the Galaxy S5 Prime has already passed the Korean tech certification.

Now, according to a report by GSM Arena, it looks like a premium version of the Galaxy S5 will also hit the international market as well. Notorious leaker EV Leaks has posted an alleged image of the device on Twitter for us to see its similar design and build as the Samsung flagship.

However, one thing to note about this device is its seemingly metallic back cover. According to the report, the back cover is still made out of plastic, but it would get a brushed metal finish just like the LG G3.

Bearing the alleged model number G906, the Samsung Galaxy F should be a decent contender to the monster flagship of LG which was launched just a week ago. The rumored Samsung handset allegedly packs a slightly bigger 5.2-inch screen compared to the Galaxy S5.

Instead of Full HD (1920 x 1080), the device would get QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) for far better display quality. Inside the handset are other rumored specs including a 3GB RAM, a Snadpragon 805 chipset, and even a 20MP primary camera.

Still, we cannot assure that this is in fact an upcoming device as Samsung has not yet announced anything about the device. The company has an event on June 12 for the Galaxy S slates, so a smartphone release seems very unlikely.
