Taylor Swift is well known for her charity work. The country singer has been giving back to her fans and the community as soon as she able. And she always finds a way to make it about music. Taylor Swift apparently believes wholeheartedly in its healing powers. Swift donated $50,000 to fund a music program at a children's cancer hospital. And she went there personally do drop off the check.

Taylor Swift donated $50,000 to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia visited with several of the patients while she was there.

The hospital issud a statement saying "We are thrilled that Taylor Swift has chosen to support The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Cancer Center. Her gift will help lift the spirits of many CHOP patients during a difficult time."

"Taylor Swift's music is an inspiration to so many of our teen patients," Lamia Barakat, director of the Psychosocial Services Program at the Cancer Center, added. "We can think of no better way to use her gift than to grow our Adolescent and Young Adult initiative designed to support the emotional well-being of our teens with cancer."

In a list compiled by DoSomething.Org, the Country singer Taylor Swift was named the most charitable celebrity of last year. Ace Showbiz reported that Taylor topped the poll for being the most charitable star in the industry in 2013.

For her 24th birthday, Taylor Swift gave $100,000 to the Nashville Symphony, which was suffering financial problems. Swift opened her $4 million Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame will have classroom space, a hands-on instrument room and ongoing education opportunities. Officials at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum say the new Taylor Swift Education Center will increase opportunities for education by seven times.
