‘The Blacklist’ Season 2 Spoilers: Berlin Not Red Reddington's Only Agenda? Series Shifts Focus Away From Tom And Liz’s Marriage

"The Blacklist" season 2 spoilers revealed that Berlin, which is going to be a major arc next season, will not only be Reddington's only agenda. The series will also shift its focus away from Tom and Liz's marriage.

Show creator Jon Bokenkamp dished out some "The Blacklist" season 2 spoilers toTVGuide as he said that they are not keen on going the serialized route by focusing entirely on Berlin because Red (James Spader) got some other agenda.

"I don't think we'll be more serialised. At times, we maybe got a little more serialized than we would've liked. We will always have a Blacklister-of-the-week," Bokenkamp said.

"The cases were connected, but not all of them. Red was using the cases to smoke out Berlin, but in the same way that he's using them to identify Berlin, he may have other agendas. I don't want to give the impression that they're all connected just to that," he added.

The finale of season 2 revealed just why Reddington surrendered to the FBI and that's to get Berlin, and of course the mystery behind his relationship with FBI special agent Liz.

On Tom and Liz's marriage, Bokenkamp suggested that that storyline might have ended.

"The framework of the show, to an extent, has shifted," Bokenkamp said.

Earlier, Bokenkamp revealed some "The Blacklist" season 2 spoilers when interviewed by Buzz Sugar.

"What I do not believe is that Red is lying to Liz," he said. "The things he's told her about her father he believes to be true and thus are true, but that doesn't necessarily mean those in the writers' room believe them to be true."

In the finale of "The Blacklist" season 1, Tom Keen revealed to Liz that he's father is still alive before the writers of the show made fans believed that he died.

When Liz told Red that her father might still be alive based on the information given by Tom Keen, he informed her that her real father perished on the day he saved his daughter from the house fire. But a large Easter egg was left behind by the show's writers at the ending when it was shown that Red's back was filled with scar tissue from burns.

"The Blacklist" will premiere on September 22, 2014 on NBC.
