On the June 11 episode of SBS "One Night of TV Entertainment", Psy joined the show for a phone interview.

Psy, who currently resides in Los Angeles, greeted Korean viewers, saying: "Sorry about my voice - it's 5 AM here. I miscalculated the time".

Psy revealed the purpose of "HANGOVER", stating: "Not many people know this, but I started music with hip-hop. I haven't had a chance to dive deeper into the genre because people liked my dance music. Then I had a chance to run into Snoop Dogg - for rappers, Snoop Dogg is god. We talked about collaboration, and no matter what the result, it was an honor".

He added, "Although hip-hop wasn't as exciting as my original music, I wanted to leave the song as a record for myself and be a bit selfish. I'm very proud of the results".
