'Korea-China Drama OST Concert' To Be Held In Beijing On June 14

The "Korea-China Drama OST Concert" will be held on June 14 at Beijing 751 D Park as a way to commemorate the 22 years of diplomatic relations between China and Korea.

China is the first to open a drama OST concert and has invited Park Sang Min, Kim Jong Guk, Ailee, Crayon Pop and others to the significant event.

The Groove Entertainment, who is a part of organizing the OST concert, stated that they hope to create a unique and different hallyu brand content that will represent Korean dramas in a whole new way.

This innovative concept will begin in China and later expand on to Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines and the States.

It has been widely known that there is a high viewership of Korean dramas in China. The SBS drama series "My Love From The Star" gained an impressive amount of attention when it aired.

Although the drama ended February of this year, it still remains popular in China.

An official announced on June 4 that a "My Love From The Star" OST concert event would be held this coming autumn in 10 key cities across China, including Taiwan, Hong Kong and eight others, according to Centriotimes.

Lyn and Younha, both artists that sang tracks from the "My Love From The Star" OST have been confirmed to perform at the event. Sung Si Kyung, Huh Gak and Hyorin are reportedly waiting to have their final schedules in Korea before confirming any details.

Actors Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun have yet to confirm whether they will be attending the event or not. The actors have attended several promotional events in China after soaring to popularity through the series.

"My Love From The Star" received over 2 billion hits on Chinese video sites, a record for any TV series in the country, according to the publication Want China Times.
