KCON 2014: IU Joins Girls' Generation, CNBLUE & BTS In Prestigious Concert Lineup

KCON 2014 is already shaping up to be the biggest and best yet.

KCON, North America's largest K-Pop and Korean entertainment and culture convention, has announced that Korean pop soloist IU will join Girls' Generation, CNBLUE and the Bangtan Boys in the lineup for the convention's two-day star-studded concert.

Previous years have featured a large idol-infused concert for fans, and last month KCON organizers revealed their plans to extend the show to cap off both nights of the convention. As with KCON 2013, well known Korean performance program M! Countdown will be producing the live concert.

Twenty-one year old IU may have just celebrated her 21st birthday last month, but she has been a consistent figure in the K-Pop industry for nearly six years.

Since her debut in 2008 with "Lost Child," IU has released three studio albums, eight EPs (including two in Japan) and a steady stream of number one singles.  Her most recent release, A Flower Bookmark, features rearranged cover songs and produced her latest appearance at the top of the music charts, "My Old Story."

KCON 2014 will be held in downtown Los Angeles on August 9 and 10.
