IU's First Exclusive Concert in Japan Coming This September!

IU will hold her first exclusive concert, 'IU FRIENDSHIP SPECIAL CONCERT FALL 2012' in Japan at the Tokyo International Forum A Hall on September 17.

IU debuted in Japan on March 21 earlier this year with the Japanese version of "Good Day."  It is very significant in that it only took 6 months after her debut to be able to hold a concert.

On January 24, IU opened a show case called, 'Japan Premium Live' at a Classic/Opera Concert Hall, Bunkamura Orchard Hall, located in Shibuya, Tokyo. The show case provided an opportunity for IU to meet her Japanese fans even before her official debut in Japan. In addition, IU traveled to Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo, and Hukuoka and became known as the 'Adorable Genius Artist'.

Also, it was brought to attention that IU has become partners with EMI Music Japan Inc. for her career in Japan. EMI is known for its ability to bring success to their artists and its support for emphasizing the individuality of each artist.

During a phone interview with OSEN, IU's publicist released on June 25, "The concert dates and the location are the only things that have been finalized, as for the other matters, we are still in discussion."

In addition, IU's second album, You and I is scheduled for release on July 18 of this year. The album You and I will contain Japanese versions of the same songs that were in IU's Korean album.

Meanwhile, 5 years after her debut in Korea, IU opened her first exclusive concert in Korea at Seoul Kyung Hee University. It is her first concert as well as IU's first tour in Korea. IU's 'REAL FANTASY TOUR' will be held in cities like Suwon, Busan, Daegu and more and end next month on July 15.
