Jung Yong Hwa States: “Solo Album is Halfway Done”

Jung Yong Hwa fans should be excited to know that the lead singer for CNBLUE will be making his solo debut in the near future.

Jung revealed the progression of his solo album during CNBLUE's Shanghai concert.

During the press conference before the concert, Jung Yong Hwa stated that his solo album was "halfway complete" and that he's "working with a lot of artists in my album."

CNBLUE stunned fans with their performance at the "2014 CNBLUE Live Can't Stop in SHANGHAI" concert held on June 15. The boy band performed 22 songs, including "Can't Stop," "I'm Sorry," "I'm A Loner," "LOVE," "Coffee Shop," "Lady" and "Try Again Smile Again."

The group even introduced themselves in Mandarin and communicated with their Chinese fans. 7,000 fans gathered for the group's performance.

A birthday party was thrown to celebrate Jung Yong Hwa and Kang Min Hyuk's birthdays on June 22 and June 28. Birthday banners and a cake were also brought in for the festivities.

While CNBLUE continues their "CNBLUE Live Tour: Can't Stop" concerts, Jung Yong Hwa is set to further his acting career in the midst of his solo music debut.

The singer and actor is reportedly considering joining the upcoming tvN drama series, "The Three Musketeers."

The drama is loosely based on Alexandre Dumas' 19th century novel of the same name. The tvN edition will change the French setting into the 17th century Joseon society, when public desire for social reform was at a high, according to the publication MSN Entertainment XIN.

If Jung joins the show, he will reportedly play d'Artagnan's character alongside actor Lee Jin-uk, who will play the lead role of Crown Prince Sohyeon.

Jung debuted as an actor before joining his current rock band, so continuing his acting career doesn't come as a surprise.

The singer's notable acting work include the 2009 SBS drama "You're Beautiful," "Heartstrings" and "Marry Him If You Dare."

"The Three Musketeers" is scheduled to air in August.
