Brazil World Cup 2014 Sex Rules: Russian National Soccer Team Suffers As Free Agent Germany Thrives

Brazil World Cup 2014, like all international sporting competitions, is about experiencing different cultures around the world. During this particular World Cup though, we are getting a glimpse into each country's attitude toward sex. While Russian national soccer team are suffering from lack of sex during the World Cup, it looks like the Germans are playing better than ever with lax sex rules.

Sex rules differ from World Cup to World Cup and this year in Brazil, there is a roster of teams that can have sex, are banned from having intercourse and stand silent on this polarizing issue. The teams that are allowed to roam free (sexually speaking) are: Germany, Spain, United States, Australia, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Uruguay and England. These coaches are banking on the scientific study that showed that sex has nothing to do with athletic performance.

This sex rule seems to work for Germany. Germany crushed Portugal 4-0 and looked like they could run around the field a couple more times, and have some sexy time in their bedrooms right after.

Meanwhile, players from these countries have been told to exercise self-control towards sex: Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile and Mexico.

The Mexican coach told the Mnews that "If they can't hold it for one month, they are not professionals".  These guys are prepared to do anything for soccer!

Russian national soccer team may be suffering from this no-sex rule. The players wrapped up the first game against South Korea with a 1-1, having spent most of the game chasing after the ball being passed between the Korean players. The World Cup 2014 sex rule may be too much of an imposition for these Europeans!

Things are slightly more complicated for other countries. The French coach said that he won't ban sex completely, but hinted that players should track the intensity, frequency of their sexual activity. Costa Ricans are banned from sex only until the group play-offs are over. Nigerians can only have sex with their wives. Sorry no girlfriends, boys.

But the most puzzling sex rule is for Brazilian national soccer team. The coach approved them having sex this year (they weren't allowed in 2010) as long as it's not "acrobatic". Wow, what kinds of things are Brazilian soccer players doing on their beds at night?

Maybe this is a question for after the World Cup 2014.
