Global Brand SMTown To Hold 4th World Tour Starting This August

One of Korea's largest management agencies, SM Entertainment, has announced the arrival of "SMTown Live."

The 4th world tour will kick off with concerts in Seoul on August 15. Afterwards, "SMTown Live" will begin visiting fans internationally.

"'SMTown Live,' an event where you can see all the SM artists perform on stage together, will start on August 15 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium and move onto cities around the world," SM Entertainment announced on June 18.

K-pop groups under SM Entertainment, including EXO, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, SHINee, BoA and f(x) will be joining the collective tour, according to the Korea Herald.

This world tour was held back in 2008, successfully garnering a lot of attention and interest from fans all around. In 2011, "SMTown Live" was held in Paris for the first time, and later that same year, they performed at Madison Square Garden for the first time as well.

The concerts for "SMTown Live" have gotten considerably more widely known as time continues to pass. The LA concert that was held in May 2012 was attended by Korean American actress Arden Cho as well as music producer Quincy Jones.

The K-pop groups that attended the event ended up playing to an audience of 12,000 people.

So far, "SMTown Live" has made it to major cities around the world including Los Angeles, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai.

Last October, the entertainment groups participating in the global event were the first overseas artists to perform at China's Bird Next.

Before the tour, Super Junior-M, EXO-K, f(x) and BoA will be attending the 2014 Hong Kong Dome Festival on July 1. Their presence in Hong Kong will also be a way to promote the SM artists.

Tickets for the concert in Seoul will be available from July 3 through the online shopping site GMarket.
