Xiaomi Mi3S release date: Specs of the highly anticipated Xiaomi smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi3S will include 4G capability, 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. Based on reports, the company aims to launch the handset “as soon as possible.”

According to Gizbot, Xiaomi intends to ship at least 60 million smartphones this year, including the first models with 4G connectivity, the Mi3S has been dubbed as the first phone with such feature. Aside from the earlier mentioned specs, other features the Mi3S may have include a 5-inch 1080 display, 8MP front-facing camera, and Android KitKat.

There was an earlier report saying that a unit being tested as Xiaomi Leo mirrors the very features of the rumored Mi3S. Android headlines reports that the Leo was seen in AnTuTu benchmarks last month.

The Xiaomi Leo has 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It did not show if it has LTE connectivity. The Leo scored 31,432 in benchmark testing and it’s a bit less than what the OnePlusOne scored. The specs of the Mi3S and Leo are identical.

Android Headlines notes that the Xiaomi Mi3 was announced September 5, 2013 and released a month later. The current flagship the Mi3 has two different chipsets, the variant is available depending on where you’re purchasing the unit. The Tegra 4 variant for China Mobile has TS-CDMA connectivity and a Snapdragon 800 version that runs on China’s WCDMA and GSM networks. The other model, the Snapdragon 800 variant, was delayed when it was first unveiled.

The Mi3S and is said to be different from the Mi4, which is expected to the next flagship of the company labeled as the “Apple of China.”

Both the Mi3S and Mi4 are expected to be release in at least ten other countries apart from China as Xiaomi begins to expand its reach in this growing market.
