EXO's Baekhyun and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon are in a relationship, making fans all over the world extremely sad.

Another Girls' Generation has been revealed to be dating someone, and it's a member of one of SM Entertainment's most popular boy groups. Which means that five Girls' Generation members have confirmed relationships this year.

With the addition of the Taeyeon-Baekhyun couple, only four Girls haven't revealed relationships this year.

One the very last day of 2013, it was revealed that YoonA was dating the actor and singer Lee Seung Gi. Only a day or two later, Sooyoung also confirmed that she was dating an actor, Jung Kyung Ho.

Fans had a field day, expressing both happiness and sadness towards their idol's relationships, but in general the news of Girls' Generation members dating was well received.

 The group debuted in 2007, and the youngest of the nine members is 22 years old. Even though fans are fervent in their devotion to idol groups, sometimes obsessive, it seems that Girls' Generation has been around long enough that their audience wants the members simply to be happy.

  After the announcements of Sooyoung and YoonA dating, there was acceptance and then a bit of impatience as fans waited to see if other Girls' had matured into adults. In April, it became public knowledge that Tiffany was dating 2PM's Nichkhun, revealing the first idol-idol relationship in Girls' Generation.

That same month, Hyoyeon became involved in a situation where she was reported to the police due to accusations of being violent. It turned out that the man was her ex-boyfriend. The accusations were settled, and it turned out that Hyoyeon's ex was Kim Jun Hyung, a CEO of a global marketing brand.

Now, with the announcement that Taeyeon is dating someone within the same entertainment company, fans are wondering if other Girls' Generation members are also in relationships. The news was only recently revealed, but it is likely that fans will be more unsympathetic towards Taeyeon and Baekhyun's relationship than the other Girls' Generation member's relationships, due to the fact that EXO is extremely popular.

It is also surprising that Taeyeon and Baekhyun are dating, due to their age difference. Taeyeon is 25 and Baekhyun is 22.

Considering the fact that five members of Girls' Generation are dating or have recently been in relationships, it is likely that other members will be revealed to be in relationships in the future. Hopefully fans will be able to respect the relationships of all of the Girls' Generation members.
