A Pink Announces Sub-Unit 'PINK BnN' As Group Prepares For Japan Debut

Fans of K-pop girl group A Pink have good news coming their way.

The idol group's agency, A Cube Entertainment, revealed that popular A Pink would be debuting a sub-unit in the near future.

After continuous speculation from fans, A Cube Entertainment unveiled the name for the group's upcoming sub-unit group - Pink BnN.

"PINK BnN is a logo that stands for A Pink's sub-unit activities, various projects and such," stated the entertainment company in a statement.

The agency reportedly plans to keep fans waiting for a little longer, as they've announced that, "The specific details will be unveiled with the music release."

Fans have been sharing their ideas on message boards in an attempt to try to figure out which members will appear in the new mini group.

Many Internet users have reportedly come to the conclusion that a part of the name "BnN" refers to the member's names. Some are speculating that A Pink members Bomi will be joined by either Namjoo or Na Eun for the sub-group.

A Pink debuted back in 2011 with "Mollayo (translated: I Don't Know)" and shot to the top of the music charts recently with their fifth single, "Mr. Chu." The six-member group consists of Park Cho-rong, Yoon Bomi, Jung Eun-ji, Son Na-eun, Kim Nam-joo and Oh Ha-young.

Fellow member Hong Yoo-kyung left the girl group in April 2013 to further focus on her studies.

The group recently attended the "2014 Dream Concert," K-Pop's largest concert event, where they performed alongside many of South Korea's top performers. They also participated in various music events including MBC's "New Life for Children" and "World Cup Cheering Show - Let's Go to Brazil."

Currently, A Pink is preparing for their official debut in Japan. On June 14, the group's agency revealed plans for a Japan showcase, which is scheduled to be held on August 4.

A Pink opened an official Japanese blog on June 15 to help promote their upcoming activities in the country as well.
