Maria Sharapova And Boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov Going To Reign Wimbledon Champions Ball? Grigor And Girlfriend Eyeing To Become Wimbledon Winners

Grigor Dimitrov, the famed boyfriend of Maria Sharapova, wants this year's Wimbledon Champions Ball to be all about them. If Grigor Dimitrov wins the Men's Singles and Maria Sharapova win the Women's Singles, their dance at Wimbledon Champions Ball will be a milestone for the tennis couple. They are one step closer to achieving this dream! Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov cruised past their opponents in the first round of Wimbledon 2014.

According to Express UK, "Exactly 40 years ago, a young Jimmy Connors escorted fianceé Chris Evert onto the dancefloor to mark the end of Wimbledon, the only other occasion on which the men's and women's singles champions have been romantically linked."

"We are pretty far from that at the moment, but we have got to dream big," Dimitrov told Express. "I always like to think outside the box so it is something for me to visualise. It would certainly be a big moment in our lives. It would be fantastic. For sure that would be something to remember."

This rather courtly tradition of the two winners sharing the first dance ended in 1977, but that doesn't meant that it can't be revived! The 22-year-old "BabyFed" may use his charms to convince the Wimbledon officials.

"I was the biggest tennis fan ever still and it was only afterwards that I realised how great it was to be part of that aftershow party. Ever since then I have wanted to get back there. And it would be even better if I had Maria on my arm!"

If Grigor Dimitrov and the 27-year-old Maria Sharapova does capture the Wimbledon titles, he has no plans on holding back to celebrate their romantic and professional achievements.

He reminisced about winning his junior championship at Wimbledon 2008 and being too shy to dance with anyone. "I was at the event when I was junior champion in 2008, but I didn't dance with anybody. I was still only 17, so I just played it cool."

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov slammed Ryan Harrison in a too-easy two setter, 6-1, 6-0. Maria had a slightly harder time, but eventually overcame Samantha Murray, 7-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Maria Sharapova, the winner of 2014 Roland Garros, looks to capture the second Grand Slam title this year.
