After news broke regarding a relationship between two of Korea's biggest stars, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and EXO member Baekhyun, the fans and public were not so kind. Now Baekhyun has broken his silence on the matter.

On June 19, the two popualr K-Pop idols confirmed that they are, indeed, dating and a swarm of fan backlash followed.

Taeyeon reached out to fans through social media (although the posts have since been removed) and again in a statement at the airport earlier this week, and now her beau has spoken out about the matter for the first time.

On June 28, at the EXO concert in Chongqing, China, Baekhyun addressed the audience in a heartfelt statement about his feelings.

"All of you fans are not a light presence to me that just passes by," he said. "Each and every one of you is precious to me and gives me strength. I hope my sincere feeling gets to you."

The idol was the subject of much ridicule at a recent taping of SBS's Inkigayo where the audience reportedly shouted "traitor" during his first appearance as emcee of the music program. The crowd in China on Saturday, however, was much more pleasant.

Baekhyun said to them, "I'll become EXO's Baekhyun that works hard - not just today, but in the future as well. So keep watch over me."

Baekhyun and Taeyeon's relationship is the first public in-agency pair for Korean record label SM Entertainment.
