Jessica Alba Runs The Honest Company But Hasn't Leveled With Her Kids Yet About Acting

Jessica Alba's children don't know that she's famous. Jessica Alba, who runs The Honest Company, says her kids don't know she's an actress. 


The 'Machete Kills' star says her daughters, Honor, six, and Haven, three, think she only works at her eco-friendly brand, The Honest Company.


Alba told E! News that Honor is "still trying to understand what I do because it's not like I [tell her]. "She goes to my office at The Honest Company and is like, 'That's mommy's work.'


Jessica won't be able to keep it a secret for long. Alba, who catapulted to fame on the SyFy series "Dark Angel" and who tamed Bruce Willis and Mickey Rourke in "Sin City," will have four movies drop this year.


Jessica Alba is definitely a celebrity. But don't tell Alba's kids, Jessica Alba's children don't know that she's famous.  The "Machete" actress's kids think mommy's only job is at the eco-friendly brand she started, The Honest Company.


It sounds like something right out of "The Spy Kids: All the Time in the World," where Alba played a mom who was living a double life that she hid from her soon-to-be-double-lived kids.


Yes, to the 33-year-old actress says that her children have no clue she's famous.


Alba says her oldest daughter inspired her "day job" saying "My daughter's name is Honor, so her name Honor inspired Honest."


Speaking about The Honest Company's partnering with Target, Alba told InStyle "We really want to be a brand that is available to anyone, anywhere. Target particularly was a callout from our customers asking us, 'If you can be anywhere can you please be at Target?' and so we listened to them. We want to be everywhere that our customers want us to be, and they want us to be here ... they want us to be online." 


Speaking about her daughter Honor to E! News, Alba explained "She's still trying to understand what I do because it's not like I [tell her]. She goes to my office at The Honest Company and is like, 'That's mommy's work.' "


When Alba was asked if her children might follow their mother into show business, Alba "Oh gosh, oh no, thank goodness."


Alba told Parade Magazine about how motherhood changed her saying "I feel like it's changed me completely. I don't feel the same at all. I mean, my core values as a person and who I strive to be is similar-I always want to evolve and be better than I was yesterday and learn from my mistakes-so that hasn't changed. But I'm completely different after becoming a mom."


Jessica Alba began acting when she was 11 years old after winning an acting competition in Beverly Hills. She won free acting classes. When she was 13, she was cast in Camp Nowhere and in The Secret World of Alex Mack. Alba graduated from high school at age 16. In 2001, Alba was ranked No. 1 on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list.
