On June 30th, T-ara's Hyomin held a press conference for her solo debut album release; which the venue of the press conference was at Seoul's JKB Tower. On the conference, Hyomin stated that she "gained the strength and encouragement to debut solo through the encouragement of members." She further explained, "It's my first time standing here alone. Jiyeon told me it's very nerve-wracking, and indeed it is. I ate something to calm my nerves but I'm still very nervous."

Hyomin goes on to say that her members were very supportive for her solo debut; which she said, "Jiyeon and other members were very encouraging. At first, when I was offered an opportunity to go solo, I felt bad toward the other members, and hesitated to share my solo song with them. But they approached me first and supported me. Jiyeon supported me, saying it would be very nerve-wracking. We promised each other that we would not be swayed by results but focus on showing our full potential on the stage."

Hyomin's new album was released on June 30th and she made her solo debut with a new style; which she cut her hair short. Her new single is titled, "Nice Body"; which she collaborated with Brave Brothers Loco. Hyomin's single is a slow tempo hip-hop rhythm. Before the release of Hyomin's new single, there were some people that believed her concept is similar to American singer Miley Cyrus.

One representative from Core Contents Media stated, "Hyomin will be returning with a new concept never seen before in T-ara or T-ara N4." The rep. further said, "It's a different charm from T-ara's Jiyeon, who made her solo debut first, and it will be a song that suits the summer time. Look forward to Hyomin's promotion."

Hyomin's new music video first begins with her portraying a dramatic overweight person; which she loses in an instant. Though, some people noticed that there were some similarities between Hyomin's concept and Miley Cyrus.

On the forums's for media outlet Allkpop, people has been commenting about her music video. "She reminds me of Miley Cyrus with that concept," wrote XValentine. Another wrote, "Don’t get me wrong, Hyomin is my favorite from T-ara, but this style…"
"I also don't like it," agreed MCarpes on June 26th. "It seems a little bit vulgar."
"I want to see the video before writing it off," said TPOTOishere on YouTube. "I think because I immediately feel this 'Miley' vibe it completely turns me off because I love K-pop but I am definitely not a fan of Miley."

Other people commented about her wearing the fat suit. "I don't like where this is going," commented Mayagold10 under the music video teaser. "They didn't have to make her be in a fat suit. I don’t' care for sexy concepts but this is mocking overweight people."

With all negative comments regarding Hyomin's new music video, her along with Jiyeon are gaining some attention in China because both their dance and music videos rank number one and two on the China Yin Yue Tai chart.

While Hyomin initiates promotion by showing her "Nice Body", Jiyeon is now doing solo activities because she wrapped up promotions for her new single titled, "1Min 1Sec." Now that she is done, on June 22nd, Jiyeon was at the recording of SBS MTV's, 'The Show: All About K-Pop.'. The reason is because she will be the MC for the show. This is not the first time Jiyeon was an MC as she was one for MBC's 'Music Core.' Including the recording, she posed for the magazine 'Elle' as she showed a more "mature" side to her.

Jiyeon said, "It feels like just yesterday that I was shaking in nervous excitement, but I am always awaiting my final broadcast for '1MIN 1SEC' . . . I am really thankful for the great interest and support. . . I will also return to the stage as T-ara. . . Please show a lot of love for Hyomin unni's solo song 'NICE BODY' which will be released soon."

On June 6th, Jiyeon held her first autograph signing event; which was held at the Lotte Cinema in Seoul's Yongsan. Core Contents expressed Jiyeon's excitement to her fans, "Jiyeon is excited to spend a meaningful time with fans, since this is her first official meeting with fans after her solo debut".

Hyomin kicked off her promotions as she made her comeback on 'M! Countdown' on Thursday (July 3rd).
