Big Bang Taeyang Adds 4 More Dates To 'SOL JAPAN TOUR RISE 2014'

The spotlight on Taeyang has yet to die down.

The Big Bang member has added four more concerts in three different cities to his "SOL JAPAN TOUR RISE 2014" event, which was originally supposed to be held on August 12 and 13 in three cities for a total of six concerts.

The additional tour dates will be held at the Kanagawa Pacifico Yokohama National Convention on September 1 and the Osaka-jo Hall on September 3 and 4, according to Yahoo Celebrity Philippines.

This means that the R&B singer will be touring a total of six cities and performing at 13 concerts. Taeyang will also be meeting with 70,000 fans for his upcoming tour.

Although Taeyang has promoted in Japan many times before as a member of Big Bang, he has yet to officially make his solo debut, which explains why the upcoming tour is making headlines internationally.

The 26-year-old is reportedly aiming to release a new album in Japan on August 13.

Taeyang's most recent album, "Rise," has been topping music charts all around. The solo album even ranked at No. 112 on the Billboard 200, a new record set for a Korean solo act, according to the music magazine.

The dancer recently sat down with Billboard at YG Entertainment's headquarters in Seoul to discuss the popularity of "Rise" as well as his musical inspirations.

"As a musician, there are certain artistic qualities from this album that I'm unsatisfied with, but I am extremely thankful and grounded that people like it - especially because it's an album that holds my emotions, memories and musical values that I have felt and gained in the last four years while I was working on it," stated Taeyang.

The "Eyes, Nose, Lips" hitmaker also revealed one specific artist that inspires him during his interview.

"There are so many talented artists that are actively releasing and promoting new materials right now and I try to listen to every single track upon release to study. These artists definitely inspire me, but after listening to Michael Jackson's latest album, 'Xscape,' it reminded me once again that he is my greatest inspiration," stated the "1AM" singer.
