KCON 2014 Tickets On Sale For Over $1,000 On Ebay

It is not rare for Korean concerts to sell out, but it is rare for tickets to be sold at over 100% markup.

That is exactly what happened within 24 hours of KCON tickets going on sale. While there are tickets for the event aren't sold out, the most expensive combination packages sold out within moments. Promising prime seating to both concerts of the two day event and countless other benefits, the tickets have already been put on sale on Ebay and Stubhub.

While reselling tickets isn't a crime, it should be when they're being sold for double the price.

KCON2014  tickets are ranged from $50-$250 individually, or combo packages, with one ticket for each day of the event, from $70-$500. But on Ebay, the two day tickets are selling from anywhere between $170 to over $1,000 for multiple tickets in the Buy-It Now option of the site. A single, two-day pass is even being sold for $912.  Tickets are also being auctioned on Ebay from $95 and up, but the markup is still noticeable.

On Stubhub, tickets are only available for one day, but are all being sold for over $260.

While the event is one of the biggest K-Pop oriented events in the United States, the demand for the tickets is larger than expected, causing the hike in prices. Tickets usually are sold for more than they were bought for much closer to the event, when there is generally a scramble for tickets, so the sudden spike in price for these tickets is slightly shocking.

2014's KCON will be held on August 9 and 10 in Los Angeles. Girls' Generation, B1A4, CNBLUE, G-Dragon, BTS, IU, Jung Joon Young, Lee Seung Gi, Teen Top, VIXX, and  SPICA will be performing at one of the two M!Countdown concerts.
