Onn July 3rd it was announced that Son Dam Bi will act on the upcoming KBS 2TV drama 'What's With This Family.'

Son Dam Bi will be working alongside Yoon Park and Kim Hyun Joo; which the character that she will play is Kwon Hyo Jin. On this drama, Son Dam Bi's character decides to marry Cha Gang Jae who is played by Yoon Park. Once she gets married to him, trouble arises because of the mother; which she now has to battle independently for her love life and happiness.

Since Son Dam Bi has been out of the drama industry for quite awhile, she explained how nervous she is. Son Dam Bi said, "It has been two years since I got to greet people in a drama. It has been a long time since I was in a production, so I'm nervous, but I am preparing for everything with diligence."

The previous dramas that Son Dam Bi acted in were 'Pure Love' and 'Play Guide'; which all aired on 2013. For the KBS2 drama 'Pure Love', Son Dam Bi had a cameo appearance; while on the tvN drama 'Play Guide', she had a main role.

Son Dam Bi's last single was on December 23, 2013; which she released her third digital single titled, "Red Candle." "Red Candle" showed a different side to Son Dam Bi because it was more subtle and had a sexy vibe to it. Her single was produced by SHINee member Jonghyun; which the message of the song is about love being compared to a candle and that it can be blown out quickly with a blow of the wind. Son Dam Bi has performed hit singles that has a techno beat to it. Some of the previous singles were "Crazy" and "Saturday Night."

Son Dam Bi not only sings, she has been a cereal model 2 years in a row; which she showed her marvelous body figure for Special K. One Kellogg representative stated, "Son Dam Bi has a healthy body and an active image. We chose her for the 2nd consecutive year because we think she has the ability to offer positive energy to those who want to diet with a happy mind."

'What's With This Family' will initiate on August 16th every Saturday and Sunday at 7:55 PM KST.
