The Legend Of Korra Book 3 Nickelodeon Schedule Truncated With 2 Episodes Airing Each Friday: Episode Synopses Unveiled For Episodes 4 Through 7

As "The Legend of Korra" returns to fans with Book 3, Nickelodeon has confirmed a new airing schedule which will effectively slash the time in half for all the episodes to be released.

According to the official Nickelodeon Twitter account, the schedule is slated to have two new episodes air every Friday starting on July 11 at 7:00pm EST.

This means the new schedule will look like this:

July 11th–Episode 4 "In Harms Way" and Episode 5 "The Metal Clan"
July 18th–Episode 6 "Old Wounds" and Episode 7 "Original Airbenders"
July 25th–Episode 8 and Episode 9
August 1st–Episode 10 and Episode 11
August 8th–Episode 12 and Episode 13

Many "Legend of Korra" fans are taking this as a sign that Nickelodeon is no longer seeing Book 3 or the franchise as marketable or valuable for its schedule.

"It looks like they want to get rid of it and want to air it fast so it doesn't stand in their way anymore," commented PerformerFX on Avatar the Last Airbender Online.

"They’re probably relieved when Book 4 is over and the annoying fans on Twitter don't scream anymore for more. It's hard to tell what Nickelodeon really has in mind. But definitely not a proper marketing plan."

Meanwhile, episode descriptions for episodes 4 through 7 have emerged, giving "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 fans a clearer picture of what's to come.

Episode 4: "After discovering that the Earth Queen is forcing all the Airbenders in Ba Sing Se to join her army, Korra makes a plan to bust them out.”

Episode 5: “Korra’s quest leads her and her friends to the metal city of Zaofu.”

Episode 6: “Beifong is forced to face her past.”

Episode 7: “Tenzin tries to train the new members of the Air Nation while dealing with Bumi’s bad attitude.”
