As Park Bom's tenure on "Roommate" remains uncertain, fellow cast member Lee Dong Wook has spoken up regarding the 2NE1 singer's recent alleged drug scandal.

"My heart is uneasy about it, but I don't think that it's something I can say anything about," said the actor during a press conference for the MBC drama "Hotel King." "I think that it will work itself out."

In addition, Lee Dong Wook also commented on the less-than-expected ratings for "Roommate."

"To be honest, there has been a lot of talk involving the show 'Roommate' like the viewer ratings," said the Lee Dong Wook. "I'm not sure how much I could help, but I hope I have a good influence."

Lee Dong Wook and Park Bom are two particularly popular cast members from "Roommate," and many fans hope the pair can become an item through the series.

As a result, Lee Dong Wook has received polarizing reactions to his comments from "Bodong" fans.

"I don't see how he could have answered it any other way," commented dpemgo on allkpop. "I am sure it was an anticipated question and his was the agreed response. I like it because it also protects Bom."

"I'm not blaming anyone but I feel disappointed," wrote JuneLight on July 4. "'Roommate' was supposed to be a show about how strangers can become a family. Looking at it now, not all have the same thought. This isn't a family. It may just be work for Dong Wook, but I hope at least Sora or Nana who seem to really care Bom will be there for her."

Currently, the producers of "Roommate" have yet to confirm or deny Park Bom's presence on the series after the scandal.

"We held an emergency meeting after the staff learned about Bom's news," said a representative of "Roommate" recently. "We are currently sorting out our position on the matter. There is nothing that can be said at the moment. We are currently talking it over."
