Hugh Jackman X-Men Days Of Future Past Goes Bald For A Movie Role; ‘Wolverine’ To Be Blackbeard In New Joe Wright ‘Pan’ Movie

It seems that X-Men Days of Future Past star Hugh Jackman isn't contented on putting claws in his hands, the 45-year-old actor shaved his head leaving only the beard for a role in a movie.

Jackman is set to play Blackbeard in Joe Wright's latest adaptation of Peter Pan movie, "Pan."

Hugh shared a photo of his pirate look on Instagram where he captioned it with, "Blackbeard is born. #PAN." Clearly he is in full preparation for his role in the film.

"I love the director Joe Wright, I love working with Warner Bros and I think this is just really exciting. It's a very cool project. And it's wonderful for my kids!," X-men Days of Future past star Hugh Jackman told Huffington Post.

Meanwhile, Victoria's Secret Angel Cara Delevingne and "Les Miserables" star Amanda Seyfried are the latest addition to Warner Bros.' Peter Pan origin movie.

Seyfried will be playing the role of Mary, Wendy, John and Michael Darling's mother while, Delevingne on the other hand will be a mermaid in film.

The two beautiful ladies will join the new comer Levi Miller who will play the titular role of "Peter Pan."

Miller and the two beauties will be joining cast Hugh Jackman (Blackbeard), Garett Hedlund (Hook) and the controversial Rooney Mara who will be playing Tiger Lily in the movie.

Warner Bros. has recently bumped Batman V Superman: The Dawn of Justice release date for 2016 and replacing it with 'Pan' on July 17, 2015

"Pan" is described by Variety as a Peter Pan origin story, where it would focus on the beginnings of the young orphan named Peter Pan. The setting is during the WWII where Pan was kidnapped and sent to Neverland, where he discovered that his destiny to save the magical land from the pirate Blackbeard.

The script penned by Jason Fuschs will feature how Pan was brought to Neverland and how he started a revolution against the evil pirates, headed by Blackbeard. The movie will also tackle on Tinker Bell and Captain Hook's beginnings.

For those of you who are wondering about Captain Hook's role on the film, Variety reports that Hook will "serve as Pan's close ally before turning bad."

Warner is now aiming for its share of the early May box office. The studio is also pushing production on the movie to the second quarter; it was initially slated to begin shooting this winter.

"We are happy to take advantage of these coveted summer dates, which are perfect for two of our biggest tentpole releases," Dan Fellman, Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution said in a statement. "We share the fans' excitement to see DC Comics' most popular figures, Superman and Batman, together on the big screen for the first time, which will now be arriving in theatres in May 2016. Peter Pan has delighted people of every generation for more than a century, so we are thrilled to bring him back to the screen next summer for today's moviegoers."
