Tracy Morgan Accident [UPDATE]: Vigil Set For Jersey Comedian Ardie Fuqua; ’30 Rock’ Actor’s New Show Postponed, Not Cancelled

Tracy Morgan's accident last month might seemed like a distant memory but Jersey City comedian Ardie Fuqua is still struggling with the effects, and that's why a prayer vigil is scheduled on July 7. Meanwhile, the "30 Rock" actor's new show was postponed and not cancelled.

In a report by NJ.com, the prayer vigil for Ardie Fuqua after the Tracy Morgan accident last month is being sponsored by the Wegman Parkway Block Association and to be held on Wegman Parkway from 6-7 p.m.

The 43-year-old comic broke his leg and also sustained other injuries, such as brain trauma. While it was earlier reported that he died from the June 7 crash, he's actually recovering at a rehabilitation center in the local area. According to the website, he's undergoing three-hour physical therapy daily following the car crash that resulted to Tracy Morgan's accident.

Doris Fuqua said that the Ardie Fuqua is "improving everyday."

"We still ask the public for their prayers, hoping everything will fall back into place," she said.

The FX Networks, meanwhile, released a statement regarding Tracy Morgan's new show:

"The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident. We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery," it said.

"At the point when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him. Right now our thoughts and prayers remain with Tracy, the other victims of the accident, and their families," the statement added.

Publicist Lewis Kay also released an update after the Tracy Morgan accident, telling the press that he was moved to rehab.

"Tracy has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks. While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go," the publicist said.
