FTISLAND member Lee Hong Ki will make his return to television with the SBS K-Drama which is currently known as “Modern Farmer.”

There was previous speculation surrounding casting of the upcoming SBS drama and child-actor turned idol, Lee Hong Ki.

Lee Hong Ki will portray the lead role of Lee Min Gi . Lee Min Gi is the guitarist and lead singer of a band that is known as Exo or Excellent Souls. It will be interesting to see if “Modern Farmer” references SM Entertainment’s EXO during the drama.

Most recently, Lee Hong Ki wowed audiences as Choi Kang Joo, an heir who adopted a new perspective on love for the TV Chosun drama “Bride of the Century.” “Bride of the Century” gained the interest of international K-Drama fans through its incorporation of supernatural elements and time jump sequencers.

“Modern Farmers” is scheduled to begin airing on October 18 and with the premise of the drama being rock band members who pursue a life in farming.

Unique plotlines are definitely something which distinguishes Korean drama from other global television programming. A seasoned idol actor such as Lee Hong Ki will most definitely make “Modern Farmer” a drama that is worth watching.
