Girl Group Crayon Pop's Popularity Continues To Grow Overseas Through Lady Gaga Tour

Crayon Pop is on its way to becoming a household name with the support of pop sensation, Lady Gaga.

News that Crayon Pop would be the opening act for Lady Gaga's "ArtRave" tour was spread around the U.S. and Canada, sparking the curiosity of both Gaga and music fans all around.

The girl group has become so popular that two female contestants at the "Dano Festival," which had a segment for a "K-Pop Cover Dance Contest," performed to Crayon Pop's song.

"Recently, a 'Bar Bar Bar' flash mob was held at an event in Canada and is gaining a lot of attention through YouTube," stated Crayon Pop's agency today.

Crayon Pop began opening for Lady Gaga's tour, which started off in Milwaukee on June 26, according to the Boston Herald.

The K-pop group, which consists of members Ellin, Soyul, Gummi, Choa and Way, will be performing along with Lady Gaga for 15 stateside tour dates.

"We think it's unbelievable to be touring with Lady Gaga. We have been fans of Lady Gaga since we were young. In interviews, we have said that we would love to collaborate with her. Now here we are, a dream come true," stated Ellin.

The five-member group also discussed how they feel about the numerous covers of their hit song, "Bar Bar Bar," during their interview with the publication.

"There have been so many cover videos of our song. One of our favorites was an elementary school of more than 150 students imitating us on a playground. And then there are military guys covering us in lots of videos. It's very flattering," stated Way.

The girls of Crayon Pop have been making sure to give back to their steadily increasing fan base.

According to Yahoo Entertainment Singapore, one of their fans uploaded a photo with the idol group on an online K-pop community board with the caption, "Crayon Pop had stopped their bus just to meet three fans on the road. They signed for the fans, took group pics with them. More reason to wear Crayon Pop attires on streets! It's not a surprise Crayon Pop has one of the best fan services amongst K-pop."

A representative from Crayon Pop's management agency added, "Crayon Pop members were moving to another city after finishing Lady Gaga's concert in Montreal, and they requested us to stop the bus after finding the fans. They gave autographs to each of them, and took photos with them as well."
