U.S. Billboard States Its Only A Matter Of Time Before f(x) Enters The 'Billboard 200' Chart

f(x) is taking over the music industry by storm with their most recent album, titled "Red Light."

Billboard's K-pop column published an article on July 8, detailing the members' transformation through their new album.

"Last July, f(x) dropped new single 'Rum Pum Pum Pum' - a mix of samba, funk and yuletide carols that (somehow brilliantly) blended to give the girl group its first No. 1 on the K-pop Hot 100," wrote the music magazine.

The publication's columnist, Jeff Benjamin, explores the ins and outs of f(x)'s title track, "Red Light."

"A zippy, phat bass line, ticking clock, snare drums and stadium-sized clapping open 'Red Light' featuring members Krystal and Sulli's confident coos. By the 22-second mark a hip-hop bass drop is added, at 0:37 the track is growing into an epic EDM buildup until the chorus hits at 0:52, turning the song into a hyperactive, synth-pop banger," writes Benjamin.

He adds, "The track continues in a similar, jerky fashion, adding vocal layers, hair-raising harmonies and ad-libs to the addictive melodies at will. While it'd be tough to not label the bubbly-gummy hooks as pop, the aural twists and turns give the track an exciting, exploratory element, forcing the listener to listen again to catch the different parts."

The five-member girl group will be making their comeback performance with appearance on Korean music programs over the weekend.

f(x) officially made their mark in the music industry last year by becoming the first K-pop group to appear at South by Southwest in Austin.

Before Luna, Krystal, Sulli and Amber went up on stage at the Elysium Nightclub, they sat down with Billboard to discuss why their music has such mass appeal.

"We think we were invited because the kind of music we do is rare. Not only in Korea but all over the world. The best thing about our group is that we are multinational and we can speak multiple languages," the girls stated.
